Pascoe, Buckinghamshire

Pascoe is an ironwoman and when life quietens down, she wants to rear some chickens.

What makes you happy?
My husband, cats (generally, but especially my cats), swimming, running and cycling, leisurely meals with friends and family, sunshine, sunbathing (pretty much anything related to hot weather…), scuba diving,  travelling to new places, holidays, cake, wine…….

Is there something that you spent a long time believing you couldn’t do…. only to try it and realise that you can actually could do it? What made you try it?
This is a bit of a work in progress to be honest.  I’ll let you know when I figure this one out….

If you were taking yourself on a date, what would you arrange for yourself?
So assuming I have unlimited funds, I would take myself to a wonderful tropical island, watch the sunset with a cocktail and eat seafood on the beach under the stars, listening to the ocean…..

What’s one thing you do regularly in order to look after yourself?
I think it’s really important to look after yourself holistically.  I try to eat properly, sleep properly, drink plenty of water and do a lot of sport. Triathlon, especially Ironman racing, is my passion and so I do a lot of swimming, running and cycling.  I also have regular sports massage and physiotherapy to keep everything moving properly.

Share one thing that used to make you really anxious, that you no longer worry about.
To be frank,  I spent my late teens and twenties feeling like I wasn’t thin enough, pretty enough, clever enough, anything enough…. With a little bit more experience, and a few more wrinkles, I am now much happier in my own skin and find it very liberating not to worry about whether or not I have makeup on or not.

Time is precious. What do you dedicate yours to?
This is currently under review!  I have invested heavily in work, sport and commuting over the last few years but would like to spend less time working and commuting and more time at home with family, friends and more pets.

Give your 18 year old self a piece of advice.
Don’t be afraid to fail, use your imagination, like and believe in yourself,  Most of all don’t focus only on getting a well-paid job rather look for something that suits your interests and values – the rest will fall into place.

Will you grow old gracefully or disgracefully?
Gracefully and gratefully but there will certainly be wine involved!

What do you hope people say about you when you eventually leave this mortal coil?
That I was kind and well-loved.

How did answering these questions make you feel?
A little sad for my 18 year old self, surprised at how hard a found a few of these questions, and reflective.
